Latest news: Papa Charlie, the Italian / Tex-Mex, Spanish, British, Tapas restaurant has closed, and will now be opening as a Nepalese / Indian restaurant called ‘Mountain View’. I really hope this new venture succeeds, as the previous establishment clearly had problems. I think part of the problem is the location (it’s surrounded by other good restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes. Also, the venue is just too damn big. It lacks atmosphere and intimacy, and needs a lot of work to get things right for the oh-so-picky local clientele (yours truly included!).
